The new indoor ice rink at Tavricheskiy Garden was built next to the green in St. Petersburg and has become a popular place for the people of St. Petersburg. The ice is always in great shape, you can rent skates in any size, and it features also a nice café where you can enjoy a nice snack or warm up with a hot tea if you get cold.

From November 10th to November 11th, come out and experience the first St. Petersburg festival of sweets! This weekend promises to be the sweetest one you have ever encountered in your life. Culinary participants in this festival include: Foreversweet candy store, Coffee Station, Tea Funny Bubble Tea, Vegetarian café “Dill” (Russian: “Укроп”), Third Place café (Russian: кафе “Третье Место”), EDOQUE, VEGA (Russian: ВЕГА), MAKE EAT culinary project, Mrs. Trufelka, Sweet Soap Shop, Open Kitchen with Anna Nechaeva (Russian: Открытая Кухня Анны Нечаевой), PUERMAN, and Bouquets Frutti (Russian: Букеты Фрутто). All of these vendors promise to sell their best and sweetest products in this great festival.

Business brothers Zingarevich of Plaza Lotus Group are discussing an underground complex near Ploshad Vosstaniya in real terms, in order to initiate the project of the underground complex under Ploshad Vosstaniya. The center would include retail space for shops and parking for cars. Discussion of the project stopped at the end of the 2000s due to the financial crisis, but now, on assurances Mikhail Zingarevich, the documents again are agreed in relevant local committees and have received the personal approval of the Governor. This could be complex is valued at an estimated $ 1 billion.

On November 3rd, 2012 at 21:00, come out to the park of aviators to experience something magical. Tons of people will be meeting at this park to send their fears and worries into the sky. On November 3rd at the Mirage Cinema on Bolshoy pr, Inoekino project is featuring a "Night of the British Cinema". A movie screening of the film "Broken", starring Cillian Murphy and inimitable Tim Roth, and music by Damon Albarn of Blur. "Broken," is a British drama about people who want to be "good", but are forced to be bad.

On October 31, 2012, there will be a great artmob to celebrate Halloween at Palace Square at 19:00. Dress in your scariest costumes, take your brightest flashlight, lots of candy, and come to Palace Square for a spooky event. There will be a great-carved pumpkin and candy will be given away. Let’s break out of our angel like selves, and find our evil side and go outside to Palace Square. 

In Finland, it will become possible to pay in Russian rubles in the stores. This is important for everyone in St. Petersburg because St. Petersburg residents frequently visit Finland, thus Finland has recently adopted this law in order to attract even more tourists from Russia. The idea was proposed by the store “Stockmann”, and was supported by several other companies in Finland. The new law starts to take effect in December, so you don’t need to exchange your rubles into Euros every time you go to Finland!

Every Friday and Saturday from 23:30 to 6:00, there will be night ice-skating at SKA arena! All night skating is perfect for those who are tired of going to the club or cinema every weekend. Come out to all night skating where you can meet new people and get some good exercise, as ice-skating is great for your legs and your body! :) 

The city of St. Petersburg is starting to build 70 elevated pedestrian crossings. The project is expected to be finished by 2015. The construction has already begun and will soon appear on the intersection of prospect slavy with Belgradskaya and Budapeshtskaya streets in the Frunzenskiy district. Another pedestrian crossing will be located near the 159 house along Tallinskoe highway in the krasnoselskiy region.
