Business brothers Zingarevich of Plaza Lotus Group are discussing an underground complex near Ploshad Vosstaniya in real terms, in order to initiate the project of the underground complex under Ploshad Vosstaniya. The center would include retail space for shops and parking for cars. Discussion of the project stopped at the end of the 2000s due to the financial crisis, but now, on assurances Mikhail Zingarevich, the documents again are agreed in relevant local committees and have received the personal approval of the Governor. In Finland, it will become possible to pay in Russian rubles in the stores. This is important for everyone in St. Petersburg because St. Petersburg residents frequently visit Finland, thus Finland has recently adopted this law in order to attract even more tourists from Russia. The idea was proposed by the store “Stockmann”, and was supported by several other companies in Finland. The new law starts to take effect in December, so you don’t need to exchange your rubles into Euros every time you go to Finland!

St-Petersburg - Pedestrian-Friendly City

70 elevated pedestrian crossings

The city of St. Petersburg is starting to build 70 elevated pedestrian crossings. The project is expected to be finished by 2015. The construction has already begun and will soon appear on the intersection of prospect slavy with Belgradskaya and Budapeshtskaya streets in the Frunzenskiy district. Another pedestrian crossing will be located near the 159 house along Tallinskoe highway in the krasnoselskiy region.
