Taking over the place where the seafood restaurant, "Nordsee" at Nevsky Prospect 55, there will be a new Starbucks coffee café. Now you can see while passing by the location, a sign hanging in the window saying “opening soon”.

The American coffee chain appeared in St. Petersburg in mid-December, and opened with a bang, three coffee shops in three major shopping centers in the city: “Stockmann”, “Piterland,” and “Mega Dybenko.” The average bill at a Starbucks is around 300-400 rubles. The menu includes several baked goods, snacks, great coffee and tea, sandwiches, and salads. The coffee shops feature also coffee cups, coffee beans for home, and tea.

The network has more than 16,000 stores in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. Now Starbucks is the world's largest coffee brand. In Russia, Starbucks started in 2007 in Moscow, where there are almost 50 shops all around the city.
