Beaches in St-Petersburg

Everyone in the summer wants to go to the beach especially when the temperatures are unbearable. So where can you go to the beach in St. Petersburg you might ask. Actually, there are a lot of beaches in the city, and here is a list of some of the best ones.

1. The beach at the lake at metro Ozerki

This well-known beach in the north of the city is situated on three lakes surrounded by pine trees. Usually it is always crowded and swimming is forbidden, but the sand is perfect for a great tanning session. Also other great advantages of this beach are its large area for volleyball and other beach games. This beach is always free!

2. The beach in Central Park on Elagin Island at metro Staraya Derevnya

  This beach does not have sand but it has a well -kept lawn that surrounds the water. Swimming is not allowed, but there are tons of benches, children playgrounds, and game zones for everyone to enjoy. The beach is free during the weekdays, and costs 20 rubles for students and 50 rubles for everyone else during the weekend.

3. The beach at 300 years St-Petersburg's Anniversary Park 

This beach is great and can be found close to the metro stations of Staraya Derevnya and Chernaya Rechka. The sandy beach at this park is perfect for volleyball, swimming, and features a skate park, bike rental, and segway rentals. It is perhaps the best beach in St. Petersburg.

4. The beach at Peter and Paul Fortress

This beach is located in the heart of St. Petersburg and it is always free to go on the beach. It is open from 06:00 to 22:00 everyday. This beach is not very comfortable and swimming is prohibited but the view around the beach is great. Those who are on the beach usually play volleyball and other games. Located on the Neva River, the beach is frequented by tourists every summer.
