| Celebration of the Closing of the Fountains in the Summer Garden |

The Summer Garden will be hosting a great celebration of the closing of the fountains. In the vastness of one of the most beautiful parks in St. Petersburg there will be music playing, and birds everywhere making their own music. The celebration happens on September 29th, 2013. This year the theme of the celebration will be birds. Visitors can anticipate such activities as: live music, photo sessions with birds from the zoo, refreshments, souvenirs, harvesting a vegetable garden in the red garden, as well as a variety of creative themed workshops. The Leningrad Zoo has prepared for visitors a special surprise. On this day, the Summer Garden will host: owls, buzzards, chickens, and other birds. Guests of the event will not only see the animals up close, but also take a picture with them. The zoo staff will tell some interesting facts about birds, as well as show the nest and eggs of birds, and you will be able to learn to distinguish between the feathers of various birds.
