Madonna in St-Petersburg 2012

Madonna will come to Russia on the tour of her new album MDNA. Madonna’s MDNA tour will include Moscow and St. Petersburg. In Moscow, Madonna will perform in the Olympic stadium, and in St. Petersburg, Madonna will perform in SKK arena. The dates are August 7th and August 9th respectively.

The album will be released in March, but the tour starts off on May 29th in Tel Aviv, and will be completed in 2013 in Australia. Madonna will have 90 concerts on her tour, making it the most extensive tour in her history of travelling.

In December, Madonna signed with Interscope Records for 40 million dollars, on a three-disk agreement. The 53-year-old actress has her first album MDNA, coming out in March, and the MDNA album was first started in July last year.

Madonna’s last studio album was Hard Candy. The album was released in 2008. Her tour was called Sticky & Sweet, and it brought in more than $400 million. The singer had a concert on Palace Square in St. Petersburg during the Sticky & Sweet tour. Subsequently, the name, “Hard Candy”, was taken by a fitness center network, in which one was opened in Moscow in late December.

Besides music, Madonna is taking part in films. Last week, Russia premiered her film WE Believe in Love. The film is dedicated to the British king who abdicated for the love of a twice-divorced American woman.
