Botanical garden will decorate an alley with rare French lilacs

By the summer, the Botanical Gardens will undergo a series of magnificent changes and open its doors to residents in a completely new look. There will be cozy benches, many Wi-Fi points, but the most impressive addition will be a rare lilac alley from France.

The reconstruction works that are being held in the Botanical Garden will greatly change the familiar face to many of St Petersburg favorite green space.

This year there will operate an open-air theatre, Arctic greenhouse, waterbed, and pionary. But the most impressive addition will be dozens of varieties of rare shrubs and French lilacs that will be growing beautifully along Aptekarskaya embankment.

It is worth noting that this year marks the Botanical Garden 300 year anniversary. Most changes are timed precisely for this significant event. The operation will be over by the summer, so that in a series of warm sunny days citizens can walk around the beautiful park.
