Roy Jones Junior to get Russian Citizenship

After Gerard Depardieu and Edward Snowden, the next to get Russian Citizenship is the American boxer Roy Jones Jr.

This is no joke. Roy Jones Junior, the American boxer, recently called and asked - what's up with my passport, to his contact in Russia. Jones really intends to obtain Russian citizenship. 

Why is Jones getting Russian citizenship?

He felt a tremendous love of the Russian people. When in Russian, Jones says he is going to work, pay taxes and start learning Russian.

A UFC show featuring Jones may take place in Russia soon.

Jones has plans not only relating to boxing, but also music and promotional activities. 

In Russia, Jones had two fights. In May 2011, he was knocked out by Russian Denis Lebedev, and in December 2013, on points, he defeated Zineddin Benmakluf from France. For each fight, Jones received several hundred thousand dollars.
