Pulkovo LED and Moskovsky Railroad Station will be connected by a Light Rail Tram

Between the airport Pulkovo LED and Moskovsky railway station will run the first light rail tram in St. Petersburg. The train will run every 15 minutes, making about 30 stops around the city, and the total travel time from the station to the airport will not take more than an hour.  

City officials still returned to the idea of launching a light rail tram that will run between the airport Pulkovo LED and Moscow railway station.

The modern train will move along a specially built track. The train will run every 15 minutes, making 30 stops throughout the city. The average speed of the light rail trains will be 60 km/h, and the total travel time from the station to the airport will not take more than an hour.

To date, the proposed route is as follows:

"Pulkovo" LED airport - the road to the airport - Pulkovo highway - 5th Predportovy proezd - Dunaysky prospekt - Bukharestskaya street - Volkovsky prospekt - Kamchatkaya street - Rasstannaya street - Ligovskiy prospekt – Moscow railway station.

Construction of a special route will take about three years. Part of the funds, which is about two billion rubles, is willing to grant the Ministry of Transport. The remaining amount of funds will be  received from investors.
