Dumskaya Street

Probably the most popular and fun street in St. Petersburg as far as drinking is concerned. :) Dumskaya is located next to Gostiny Dvor and Nevskiy Prospect metro stations. This street is famous for its bars and clubs, in which teens and those who are in their twenties and even thirties come for a great time. Though it can be very dirty on the streets and in the bars, Dumskaya has around 10 different bars and several different clubs. This is the place to be any day of the week but usually the best parties happen on Fridays and Saturdays. The party starts at 10 pm and lasts until 6 am in the morning! The party lasts all night long until the metro opens and you can go home! :) It’s the atmosphere and people on Dumskaya, which makes it so great. In this article, you can find a list of the best places to go to on Dumskaya. From bars and karaoke places to clubs, if your style is techno, punk rock, or even rap, you can find it on Dumskaya! Here is our list of best places on Dumskaya for the best parties.

The best bars on Dumskaya are as follow: Fidel, Dacha, Belgrade, Q-Bar and Poison. Poison is more of a karaoke bar but always has a great atmosphere. Although quite small, Poison has a small karaoke stage, nice booths to sit in, decent bar and decent prices. The best day to go to Poison is Thursday night. Fidel, Dacha, and Belgrade are almost all next to each other and are similar. The best of them is Belgrade, which features a big dance floor, good bar, and table football. Fidel and Dacha are more similar to each other, as they always have great atmospheres and great barmen. Fidel is known for a big picture of Fidel Castro near the DJ booth. Q-Bar is also a great place to go, with a great dance floor, table football, nice bar, and always with a lot of people. Each of these bars features several different genres of music, and at each of these bars, you won’t have to pay a cover charge.

The clubs to go to on Dumskaya are Punch, Lomonsov, Barbara and Ulitka. Lomonosov is many people's favourite choice to go. It features two dance floors featuring different music. Though at Lomonosov, a cover charge and face control (face control "guards will check to ensure dress code and make sure you are sober enough to enter) are usual. Also with a few bars around, the atmosphere and party are sure not to disappoint. Ulitka and Barbara are similar, featuring great music, great bar selection, a lot of space to sit and relax, and dance floors with several different genres of music. At Ulitka and Barbara, you might have to pay a cover charge between 100-200 rubles, depending on who you are with and the security for the day. Punch is also one of the better clubs on Dumskaya. It is located on the second floor in the Perinie Ryadi building and has two great dance floors on the same floor. It is a modern music club with free entrance before midnight providing that you have a text message that has an invitation, which is not hard to get if you have a Russian friend with you.

If you choose to go to any of these places on Dumskaya, you are sure to have a great time, but if you are not a fan of somewhat dirty places with non- house/techno music, better go to one of the great clubs mentioned above.
