On March 23rd, 2013, turn off your lights for an hour! This year, Earth Hour will be observed from 20:30-21:30 on Saturday March 23rd. Hundreds of people will gather on Palace Square and will light candles at exactly 20:30 as a sign that the people who observe this green holiday can play an important role in helping our planet. Earth Hour is a symbolic event designed to encourage interest in the issue of climate change. Earth Hour is held on the last Saturday of March and calls for all: individuals, organizations, schools, municipalities, commercial establishments - to turn off their lights and other non-vital electrical appliances for one hour.
